Following the latest revised minimum wages of labor

MAHARASHTRA MINIMUM BASIC WAGE UNDER SHOPS AND ESTABLISHMENT ACT

The Maharashtra state government had issued a notification for revising the Basic Wage rates to the employees employed in the scheduled employment viz. ‘Employment in a shop or commercial establishment’ in the state of Maharashtra for skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled employees in the state wef. 24th July 2019.

The Maharashtra government had doubled the Minimum Basic Wages of workers employed in shops and establishments across the state. As per clause III of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, the minimum wages are revised every five years. However, they were not revised in the last nine years due to technical reasons.
